As a music therapist, Alison utilizes music as a key element within the therapeutic environment to create an atmosphere for healing and to facilitate positive change. Alison has implemented diverse music therapy techniques with varied client populations including adults and children with developmental disabilities (Autism, mental retardation), elderly individuals experiencing dementia and/ or traumatic brain injury, and adults with psychiatric disabilities. Alison recently proposed, developed and implemented a music therapy program within a psychiatric facility.
