Alison Renee Restak

img_4501.JPGAlison Renee Restak has been providing elegant harp music for weddings and special events for the past 10 years. Mixing classical, popular, contemporary, Celtic and folk arrangements, she creates the perfect setting and ambience.

Alison began playing the harp at the age of eight. She studied privately for nine years in her hometown of Washington DC before completing her Bachelors Degree at Roanoke College where she studied with SongHee Uhm, principle harpist with the Roanoke Symphony. She went on to pursue a certification in Music Therapy at the University of Miami where she received a performance scholarship and played with the University of Miami Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble and also participated in performances with Harid Conservatory Orchestra and numerous chamber music groups in the Miami-Dade vicinity. Alison currently performs for weddings, church functions, private parties and other special events in Miami and New York City and boroughs. Alison was recognized by The Knot Best of Weddings 2008/2009 for her wedding business.

In addition to being a harpist, Alison holds a Masters Degree in social work (MSW), is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) with an in-depth knowledge of music’s healing qualities.
